Background:
This school is located among the mountain areas where Jiangxi Province, Zhejiang Province and Anhui Province have a common boundary. Approx. 370 km from Nanchang. Local main crops are the tea and rice. Due to financial difficulties, the drop-out rate was 33 in 2000 and 33 in 2001 and half of them were schoolgirls.

Project Chronicle:

In Nov., 2001, local government ceded 350 square meter lands at no cost for house.

In April, 2002, local government ceded 13.2 acres of the tea garden for this project and local Community Council was set up.
In Aug., 2002, the tea-process machines were brought and installed. The 13.2 acres of the tea garden were meliorated.
In Sep., 2002, the school children received the notebooks and stationery donated by Shanghai volunteers.
In 2003, the newly built green tea factory produce an income of RMB 11, 000 . The school remade the tea garden in the end of the year.

In 2004, the school drew more attention from local communities and society, acquired more resource support. The school repaired some school buildings and purchased some teaching equipment.
In 2004, with businesses' technical help the school gradually altered tea tree species in order to suit the e export needs of main local tea businesses, this temporarily influenced the implementation of the tuition aid plan but good proceeds were expecting after 2 years.

学校背景：

上村小学位于赣、浙、皖三省交界的大鄣山深处，距离南昌市370公里。学区内村民以种植茶叶为主要生活来源，生活贫困。2000年失学儿童33人，2001年失学儿童30人，其中一半以上为女童。部分在校生需分期支付学杂费，无力承担学杂费。

项目进展和其他材料:

2005 年，实现项目收入 10,500 元人民币，救助贫困学童 11 人，救助金额 2,200 元。
2004 年，学校适应当地龙头茶叶企业出口国际市场的需要，在企业的技术支持下逐步修改茶树树种，暂时影响到助学计划的实施，预计两年后有较好受益。

2004 年，因助学项目的实施，学校得到了当地社区和来自社会的更多的关注和资源支持，学校修缮了部分校舍，购买了部分教学设备。
2003年建成的绿茶加工厂收益11,000元。年底对茶园进行了改造。
2002年9月，上村小学的孩子收到了基金会上海志愿者们捐赠的笔记本和文具。
2002年8月，置制茶机械，建成了350平米的标准厂房，学校改造原有茶园80亩。
2002年4月，上村村委批复无偿划拨80亩茶园归属学校同时在学区内成立社区议事会。
2001年11月，鄣山乡人民政府批复助学项目无偿用地350平米。

Projects: Rabbit Base 养兔基地

*Some students have to sleep on the floor in the classroom. Between 1997 and 1999, due to financial difficulties, the drop-out rate has risen from 139 in 1997, to 157 in 1998, and to 181 in 1999.

Project Chronicle:
2000-2001: to cooperate with Phelex in initializing this project, local village government plans to build a 400 sq.m. house, donated to the school, for cultivating the rabbits. Plan to breed the high-quality French rabbits, New Zealand rabbits and Belgium rabbits.
Ganzhou City Tianze Rabbit Company commits to purchase the rabbits at the protected price, and to provide the market information and technical support.
Local Education Bureau commits to contribute the tuition aid RMB 800 a year for three years. Local public contributes labor at no cost for constructing the house and nursing the lawn. A computer for internet and communication is also planned.

学校背景：

学校位于兴国县城北31公里处，距南昌315公里，学区内丘陵密布，人多地少，村民生活艰苦。近三年来因贫困无法完成基础教育的学童占适龄学童的30%，1997至1999年共流失学童427人，流失率达21%。

项目细节：捐资建立优质种兔基地。提供财务管理，社区议事会制度和电脑知识的培训。

项目进展和其他材料:

2003年由于兔子精饲料价格上涨，基地年收益下降。项目实施转产，本年无救助。
2002年种兔基地开始正常运作，现有兔子1169只，其中母兔：160只，公兔：57只，成兔：759只，幼兔：193只。
当地村民提供义务劳动和青饲料。
县教委承诺连续3年每年提供助学金800元。
赣州市党校天泽兔业公司承诺给学校提供信息、技术、预防治病等方面的帮助并负责收购。
2000-2001年:乡政府无偿为学校新建厂房2间，有效使用面积400平方米。
